Lisa Eldridge Skin Tint

Does anybody use this? What is it like? Foundation is far too heavy for me but wondered if this would work as a very light base.

How does it look/feel? I have combination skin so don’t want anything too oily but just want my skin to look even. I generally don’t wear any foundation or tinted moisturisers but have an event to go to so needed something.

Sorry, no idea about LE but Origins tinted moisturizer is amazing if you're looking for one!

Britpopbaby · 04/10/2024 14:36

I have it and like it loads. It’s very light and not like foundation.

lindyloo57 · 04/10/2024 18:21

I had the origins tinted moisturiser, but on me there was no colour

Shuttheblinds · 06/10/2024 11:49

I have heard so many good things about it. I have used Nars tinted moistriser but even that feels heavy on me.

It’s really lightweight, you don’t feel like you’re wearing anything. I like it a lot but my skin is sometimes too dry for it.

botemp · 06/10/2024 12:05

It's very light but so is the coverage (which I personally prefer). It's buildable to a point but it also because more noticeable. I have normal-ish skin and it really agrees with my skin even on drier days but I have seen some oily/combo skin people saying they don't get on with it but that tends to be the case for most of these lightweight serum/oil based type tints and foundations. Longevity with oily/combo skin types also seem much shorter. Clinique have some thinner bases more suited to oily/combo skin types, might be worth looking at those.

I really love it. Have been wearing it since June and I still can't quite believe how something so light weight can make such a difference to my skin. I feel like it does what tinted moisturizers always promise to do but never deliver on. I did like the Nars TM as it happens but i think it's actually more of a foundation - significantly heavier than the LE.

I use it. I’m a no-makeup kind of person but as I’m getting older I’m finding the need for a bit of coverage at work and evenings out. It’s perfect. Looks like you’ve got nothing on. Get it professionally matched at a beauty counter tho.

ClementineChurchill · 06/10/2024 12:17

I used to use Veil by Hourglass, if that’s any use. I think they discontinued it and I found their replacement product too shiny. I don’t like that high-gloss look at all. Makes me feel greasy.

ClementineChurchill · 06/10/2024 12:21

Sorry for the multiple posts … just to add that I usually wear it with either a skincare-focused SPF (I use Caudalie) or a light moisturiser underneath, rather than applying it to bare skin. Stops it from looking flaky.

RausageSoul · 06/10/2024 12:35

I fell for the TikTok shop trend of the L'Oréal water serum mixed with lumi glow tinted serum. It really is a gorgeous tint, so moisturising and my skin has never felt better!

BakeOffRewatch · 06/10/2024 13:16

You might like a primer if you don’t like makeup, or colour correcting CC cream. This one works for me www.libertylondon.com/uk/treatment-serum-primer-spf-15-000704895.html but there’s loads on the market and people probably have better recommendations for a wedding event. suqqu do another one that’s more about a flawless base www.libertylondon.com/uk/suqqu-the-primer-30g-000826486.html

LittleG69 · 06/10/2024 13:29

I really rate it. I got matched at Liberty but their customer service is superb and if you send some photos they’ll colour match you

Shuttheblinds · 09/10/2024 14:45

The customer service is excellent, they colour matched me and sent me a sample so I will try that when it arrives. I hope it is ok after seeing a poster say its not as good for oily/combination skin, but will try it.

Just add moisturiser to your own foundation to make a skin tint!

I've bought lots of different ones and Lisa Eldridge one is no better or worse than most of them so I just add a couple of drops of Clinique dramatically to a couple of drops of foundation to make my own.

Much better.

workshy46 · 09/10/2024 18:49

Just got it, obsessed with it. I have every skin tint, light foundation on the market and its my favorite. I pair it with Illia foundation stick for extra coverage
