What do you all think?

-December wedding.
-All one venue. No church. Will be a bit gothic vibe as in lots of candles, dark flowers.
-Bride and groom are not religious and not traditional.

I think it would be fine if those dresses actually looked like that on real life women. But given the amount of shapewear and stress a real human would need to spend and expend to emulate the photos - I don’t know. I might prefer to spend twice as much on a dress in a better and more forgiving fabric. (Or just go all out for body positivity in a Skims dress.)

Have you seen one of the brand’s dresses in real life, on someone you know who isn’t a model travelling with a team of photo editors?

Rocknrollstar · 04/10/2024 15:16

Are you 5ft 10 and a size 8? If not, this isn’t the dress for you.

Matildahoney · 04/10/2024 15:34

I had one of their maternity dresses when I was pregnant, it was lovely, so nice I bought another for an event that ended up being cancelled.
But I would never wear black to a wedding, how about a navy or dark green?

AllAboutNiamh · 04/10/2024 15:35

Lovely. If you’re very slinky and on the tall side.

I like but what about the plum one? Still dark but less funeral like.

Sandwichgen · 04/10/2024 16:03

Its a goth wedding! I dont think black will be a problem and it makes the dress much more wearable on other occasions

Yes. I’ve worn one of the brands dresses before. A ruched midi. Looked and felt amazing. Great quality fabric.

Fab for a goth wedding

Thewalrusandthecarpenter · 04/10/2024 20:25

I think it's fabulous. I don't think you need to be skinny to wear it, either - you need a bit of a shape.

Ok - that’s great then! So this one should be equally good.

I was not saying one needs to be thin or tall to wear the dress - simply that it looked as if it would show every physical irregularity regardless of size. But If you’ve already found the brand works for you - it’s all good. It should be perfect for your event.

I think that it’s just right for a goth wedding 😀have fun, it sounds lovely!
