Can anyone recommend a product that will help with spots and with open pores? Money is tight so I really don't want to spend more than I have to. I've bought a couple of Superdrug/clearasil products but he says there is no change.

Benzyl peroxide from the pharmacy then if that doesn’t work go to the GP

What type of spots? (Whiteheads, Hormonal etc). For whiteheads try products with salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide. Acnecide is a good cream for that. Maybe also try products with aha and bha - but dont over do it eg if there is an active ingredient in cleanser, dont have a separate cream. If hormonal maybe go to gp

I would say more pimples? My brother had full blown acne and this definitely isn't that

The GP can prescribe Acnecide cream which works well as well as an antibiotic such as lymecycline or spironolactone

A popular face wash is Cerave SA

Niacinamide serum or green tea serum to control oil and close pores.
A light, oil free moisturiser- dehydrated skin over produces sebum, hence the pimples.
A gentle salicylic or green tea cleanser
A charcoal mask once or twice a week, and as a spot application.
