Sleek pointed boots

Hello, can anyone recommend any nice comfortable boots to wear with a black midi leather skirt. I have black Chelsea boots but they don't seem to go (looks too clunky on me) and I want to look elegant in the office.

A lot of boots I've seen look very stiletto-ey so I'm not sure how comfy they would be.

Also is it a faux pas to mix leathers? So would suede boots work or is that naff? I've lost a fair bit of weight recently so struggling with outfit choices. Please help a girl out, I'm at a loss.

Personally, I don’t think you should mix leathers and as the skirt is the ‘statement piece’ it should be matched with a plain thin jumper and not a blouse (or if a blouse one that is quite plain and cotton not satin). In regard to boots knee high would look great like these

I recently went horse racing with my husband (I’m 59) and wore and A line black leather skirt, boots like these and a red polo neck and got a lot of compliments.
