Bag help please

I've been looking for a new bag for work
It needs to be able to carry a large diary, large bottle of water, not much else
I only carry it from the car to the office

I looked at cheap supermarket options, and all high street shops

What do you think of this?

I have this in the burgundy but not sure I want the same for work

I bought this, not for work just for me and I love it but think it's ridiculously expensive
I normally buy a bag from Uniqlo for everyday use

Any opinions welcome

I've kept the first work one but I'm on the fence about the burgundy leather
