What do I wear - interview

The company I work for went into administration last week, I'd been with them 32 years. I have a couple of interviews lined up next week and I have no idea what to wear...it's been so long since I've been to one!

It's going to be an office based job in the construction industry.

Smart and presentable is fine, it's not corporate anymore, I'm in the industry. What sort of thing do you have in your wardrobe already?

I've just interviewed post redundancy, DMs, tights and dress - fit the job.

Something smart, neutral colours. You could wear trousers, vest top and blazer or a dress with a blazer or smart cardigan. Black tights if legs out. Make sure what you wear is comfortable. No chipped nail varnish (I’m guilty of this often 😂) flats or heels don’t matter as long as they are not trainers or scruffy.

For an office job interview I would say you don’t need to dress like a corporate lawyer but you should go smart and like you’ve made an effort to look professional and presentable. They might have a more relaxed dress code but you won’t know that until after the interview.

Depending on your budget and what suits you, work dress and blazer jacket or smart trousers, top.

I always tend to wear a blazer jacket to smarten up.

Was thinking black cigarette pants, black loafers, black silky vest and a tan coloured blazer...that would be ok right?
