Does anyone have one of these? Are they any good?

They're are completely shit, the company won't refund and ghost you. Waste of £50

ayvasili · 29/09/2024 08:50

I don't know how you found yours to be shit @MyOtherCarisAVauxhallZafira I have had mine about 3 months and it's bloody amazing! I have very thick, fizzy, curly hair and the tymo ring makes quick work of it, lovely straight, shiny hair in half an hour.

GoldLameDarling · 29/09/2024 09:10

🤔

Following because I've been wanting one of these for a while.

mrsCtheRed · 29/09/2024 09:21

I have one and find it to be fab.
I'm mixed race, and have very curly, frizzy hair.
I've spent hundreds on expensive gadgets to straighten or smooth my hair, and this one is definitely one of the best I've ever found 🤩

MyOtherCarisAVauxhallZafira · 29/09/2024 09:42

You will get a lot of bots telling you it's amazing I have thick curly hair and it didn't make even a tiny difference.

GoldLameDarling · 29/09/2024 10:06

Yes wondering about bots.

I bought a cheaper brand from Amazon and I like it. I have 2c hair.

Could you post a link to the one you bought? I’m really interested in a cordless product, just something to sort out my hair at work, if it goes frizzy during a damp lunch hour. But I don’t want to spend too much.

tabulahrasa · 29/09/2024 13:05

I got a straightening brush in Lidl about a week or so ago, £9.99

Not as good as GHDs I had years ago but way way better than cheap straighteners and much quicker to use than straighteners

AppleKatie · 29/09/2024 13:08

Following because I’d like one, but only if it really is the wonder product they suggest

UpToonGirl · 29/09/2024 15:35

I did have a look at Tymo (because I was overloaded with ads) but it looked like it was shipped from America and I wasn't sure how that would be voltage wise?

I just ended up getting on from Amazon, works really well as I don't like super flat hair and my brush keeps a bit of volume. Mine isn't cordless though.

Is the Lidl brush cordless?

Afraid not

ayvasili · 29/09/2024 17:58

I'm definitely not a bot..been around (under different names) since the penis beaker. The tymo ring is the real deal

MaggieBsBoat · 29/09/2024 18:01

I’m following as I’ve been lusting after one of these for ages - I keep seeing the ads.

ohpoowhatnow · 29/09/2024 18:03

I like mine, I have curly hair but pretty fine. It's not as good as my GHDs but for the price it's deffo worth it

thelittlestbird · 29/09/2024 18:03

I'm Not a bot. I have one (corded) and it's super. I have wavy 2b hair, not particularly thick.

I feel like I should know (but don’t) what is 2b hair?

thelittlestbird · 29/09/2024 19:20

@Thursdaygirl if you Google wavy curly hair there are types - 1, 2and 3 and then a b and c within each number. It's to do with coarseness and wave pattern. Helpful to know yours to find the most suitable products etc.

Yep that's viral marketing. I know it works well on me. So trying to check the product out elsewhere. Trustpilot is always mixed.

So they seem to be ok but not as good as irons.

OP posts:
GoldLameDarling · 30/09/2024 07:51

Think I might go with the babyliss one. It's not much more expensive tbh.

OP posts:
JustGettingStarted · 30/09/2024 23:32

The one I got isn't cordless.

I saw the ads for Tymo and looked it up on Amazon. Then a bought a cheaper one with decent reviews.

I don't get the results in the adverts - the mirror shine - but it does straighten my hair.

The Revlon round blow-dryer brush is also really good.
