Lined dresses

Please point me in the direction of some decent quality lined dresses.

Everything I find is one thin layer of something polyester-ish. Which is not only cold, but you end up with the skirt being see through when you stand in the light.

I know I could wear a slip, and I sometimes do, but I'd love to find a brand that was just well made and practical. I'm short too, so need petite sizes.

I like dresses that are well cut and don't have frills, puffy sleeves, tiers etc.

Very few dresses are lined, even in higher price range. Palava puts a lining in its Beatrice dress and a half lining in the Elsie dress. Apart from 4 or 5 Palava dresses, some cocktail / black tie dresses, off the top of my head I've only got 4 or 5 day dresses that are lined.

Tbh other than wool crepe or flannel work dresses (which I don't wear now) or evening wear I can't remember linings ever being standard in dresses. I always wear a slip under a dress- seems really weird not to.

Not sure where you're looking that all you find is thin polyester.

I see from a dress on another thread Mint Velvet have some lined dresses but they're not my thing.
