Make up lesson?

My friend was lamenting a tired make up bag and routine. For my 40th, I had a make up and skin lesson with a brilliant independent makeup artist - but she doesn't do it anymore. Said friend is 50 soon and I'd like to give this to her as her gift. Does anyone know anyone in London who does this? Specifically don't want a brand counter etc as would like someone who uses a range of products and budgets and who can help guide through what's current and what's changing in our sad peri-meno faces and give us a giggle.

Thanks for any replies - just getting on a long flight so will be unable to respond.

I did the Selfridges make-over recently. It was £65 but it's redeemable against any make-up you buy.

It wasn't massively ground breaking for me, but did give me a much better foundation than I have been using, and got me back using eye-liner, which I had given up on. They do use very expensive products however - I don't buy £25 eye and lip liners generally!

A bit late to the party but a friend of mine went to https://mimidmakeup.com/makeup-lessons-london/. She's very experienced and independent, caters for ladies of all ages and reasonably priced. Based on my friends recommendation I'm looking to go and learn some techniques for evening looks and refresh my aging makeup kit.

I was also going to recommend the Selfridges Concierge service. It’s in the salon, not on the shop floor (at least in the local branch I know) and they guide you through the most suitable products. Obviously products they sell - but from all the different brands.

I’ve made a gift of this to someone else, and keep meaning to book it for myself as I really haven’t got to grips with ‘not just on Zoom’ make up since lockdown.

It would make a brilliant 50th birthday present, to my mind.
