Hip length, waterproof winter coat

Apologies if there’s already been a thread on this recently!

Looking for a new winter coat that’s both warm and properly waterproof. I’m a shortie so looking for something around hip length as long ones swamp my little legs!

really looking for something that’s not black or navy or beige - I love the mustard colour of this Seasalt coat and the length is perfect, but tried it on in the shop and the shape is too boxy- I need something that is fitted at the waist.

Any recommendations?

M&S has this waterproof one. Half the price of many others. Look for a drawstring waist.

Meant to add Didriksons and Barbour have thicker coats. But double the money plus some! If you won’t need waterproof, M&S has loads but if you expect to stand out in rain watching sport, you do need to look at the technical features.

I like that M&S one but looking for something that’s fleece lined for winter - does need to be fully waterproof as I’m out and about in all weathers!
