Zara sizing

Quick question - I have seen a dress I love, from Zara online but never bought from there before. I'm not sure if the sizes run small/big/true to size? I would say I am a comfortable size 10 - in River Island the size 10 can be a bit loose. Would I be a small or medium in Zara? Thanks to anyone that replies!

It's not much help but Zara sizing is very inconsistent.

When you click ‘Add’ - as if you’re about to buy - you will see, beneath the sizes available, a button for ‘See measurements’. Do that. Measure yourself and a garment you have with similar measurement to the one you’re considering.

Even with all that, their sizing varies. It can depend on the quality of cut and fabric - in general the more expensive pieces will be cut more generously than the much cheaper items. Sometimes items are made with laughably small hip measurements for example. If in doubt either order two sizes or order the size to fit your largest body area and have it altered to fit.

Don't bother with anything even vaguely fitted if you have boobs, Zara doesn't like boobs

I bought a coat from there, I had to get an XS when I’m normally a medium. Very strange sizing.

Zara’s sizing reminds me of H&M’s - so varied.

Deranged sizing but if in doubt go up - L is Zara’s small 12. Fitted stuff is very, very fitted.

I used the find my size button on the website, I found it to be bang on.

Zara sizing is dreadful. I ordered 6 pairs of jeans. All a size 12. None fitted. Either too big or too small.

This. Zara sizing is notoriously tiny and made for flat chests. I'm only 4' 9" but a 30G so it's really hard to find anything to fit.

Thanks everyone! It sounds like a veritable nightmare! It's a black silk shirt dress. I do have moderately sized boobs (32D) so may take previous advice and order two sizes. Wish me luck Grin

Zara labels/tags have shapes on them to show if they run true to size, slightly small or slightly large. Have a google online and it'll bring up the descriptions for you, the shapes are usually triangles, circles or squares. I use that guide and never have any problems myself

I find their sizes huge but everytime sizing is bought up on here everyone says they run small. I'd order a few sizes if you're not sure.
