Blisters in new shoes... help!

My new loafers have rubbed blisters on the back of my heels. It took me ages to find a pair that fitted/ I liked. So I'm after any tips to break them in or experiences of using those stick on pads at the back of the shoe...

I have a favourite pair of sandals I rebuy every summer and when new they always give me blisters at the back of my heels for the first couple of wears.

I stick some compeed blister plasters on and carry on. I find after a couple of wears they stop blistering my feet.

Loafers are a.nightmare for rubbing 🤬 I don't know why they're recommended so often on here. Hair conditioner can help soften the leather and I've hear some people say about rubbing soap on the inside helps. I've never found stick on heel protectors work .

The only thing I've found that works is wearing them in, like you do Birkenstocks. Put them on and only wear them for a short period, gradually lengthening the time.

If they are leather, wear them in the rain.

Thanks, letting my feet recover for now but will try again armed with blister plasters!
