I am going on a date on a Thursday and I haven’t been on one since being with my ex-husband and we divorced 4 years ago 😅 I have absolutely no idea what to wear. I’ve been in mum mode for so many years and I have no nice clothes. We are going for food and drinks. I’m 34 and have a bit of a mum tum. I like dresses rather than trousers but I’m just totally clueless 😢

Would be helpful to know who the date is with - someone you know already, met in real life but don't know, online dating?

Oh yes, just to add, it’s a date with someone I met on Hinge. We haven’t met before.

I'm procrastinating like crazy this evening. Height, width, budget, venue? D'you want to look like you dressed up or just stylishly threw something on? Colour preferences?

Do you have a particular style you like?
Are you tall? Short? Curvy? Where is the date?

goingdownfighting · 22/09/2024 22:39

Erm where are you going? Cosy meal? Drinks? Axe throwing?

Hallo, long time (old) dater here! Wear something comfortable that makes you feel confident and shows off your best bits whatever they are. Buy yourself some lovely, possibly sexy, underwear, even though you are not going there it will help you feel attractive. Get your hair and nails done if you like. Have a wonderful time, just enjoy it without too much expectation!
