Large showercap?

Apologies if this doesn't belong here, but the board called Shopping isn't very active.

Can anyone recommend a largish showercap? I used to get them from Boots, but they have been reduced in size in recent years and are too small to cover my head and hair.

I got one from Superdrug a while ago that's larger, but it's very scratchy and now the elastic has stretched so it doesn't hug the head. I can't think where else to try, and anyway you usually can't try them so you're buying blind.

I have long hair, and I think my head is larger than average (for a woman).

Following, as I have found all of the standard places have decided to make them only in petite size!

These look lovely and were on my Christmas list last year but none of my family wanted to pay that much for a shower cap.

If you search 'extra large shower cap' on Amazon you'll be spoilt for choice

Crumbs, that is a bit pricy, isn't it? Thanks.

Thanks, I don't know why I didn't think of Amazon (I mainly use it for books).

Morrisons about two quid, not weird slippy fabric, just proper keep your hair dry material. Home bargains are small and silky 🤢

Cantu do a satin lined one. Very large. Great if you have long thick hair.

I had to buy my mum one. Could only find 1 in Boots. It looked enormous. But she was pleased. It was expensive about £10 and very dull. Then I went weeks later into Homesense - loads of choice, very pretty patterns and all about £3-99.

I bought her one for a stocking fillers. Photos attached.

I have ordered one for my dd for Christmas thank you!!!

I have an Only Curls shower cap. I don’t have loads of hair (what it’s designed for) but I bought it for my large head as I like the adjustable and flat band that creates a nice seal without leaving an imprint on my forehead. I’ve had it a few months It seems well made.

OldTinHat · 24/09/2024 11:05

Also following! I have a large head and far too much hair. Putting on a shower cap is like trying to put an octopus in a string bag.

Terracata · 24/09/2024 11:08

I get mine from TTAT. I have thigh length braids so need a big shower cap!

Thanks for all the suggestions!
