The Uniqlo bag

I'm needing a new over the shoulder bag and was going to get the Uniqlo one that everyone loves. It's been popular for a couple of years now though, is it still a must buy or has everyone moved on from it now? Will it look dated/unfashionable? If yes, looking for other low priced alternatives.

What is your budget? ( very different interpretation of cheap/expensive on here)
What do you need to fit in it?
I find it useful but wouldn't want it to be my only bag

I've had mine a while and still use it daily. I've seen others use it too. It's just a really practical and useful bag so not sure if it's in the 'fashionable' bracket but I'll still continue to use mine. It also looks great still with daily use

I use my coudray one daily- it’s so useful and was a more recent update from the shellsuit material ones. It lifts a lot of outfits and I really like the look so you could try this version (3 different shades of brown/green) looks autumnal.

They’re popular for good reason- especially when travelling/ at an event when you’re on your feet a lot as they feel so weightless.

It wouldn't be my only bag but need something casual for the days I'm out and about with the kids. Have a backpack for bigger items but now I often just need a bag to carry my own bits (purse, phone, keys, hand cream, lip gloss, tissues). Cross body suits best because then I still have hands free for the kids if needed.

I was asking the same with my very stylish 25 DD and the first thing she said “Just do not get that Uniqlo fanny pack”.

After some research, I would suggest to have a look a COS, M&S and JL quilted bags. Just a touch pricier and will probably date in a couple of years but they are lightweight fabric, inexpensive and very cool, I think.
