Wedding guest help for the clueless

I know that there are loads of these threads, but I also know some of you are amazing virtual shoppers. And you wouldn’t want me to let the side down by pitching up at a family wedding in my combats and Docs….. Grin

So this is the score: family wedding in South Europe mid Oct. So could be hot, or cool and rainy. Fairly dressy but I am not doing hats. Has to be something I can order in to try at home, I can’t get anyone with decent shops. Although I have no problem with second hand, i am worried about buying vinted dresses that don’t fit and I can’t return. I need a full outfit unless I can wear my docs or NB trainers.

I am a young acting 50. 5’7, fairly fit size 8/10 but not really keen on showing much flesh. I have lost a lot of weight so I don’t feel slim IYSWIM. My legs are quite sturdy, bit of a mum tum but slimmer upper half. I am dark hair /blue eyes, big framed specs.

i suit jewel colours - fuschia, emerald, electric blue, bright purple etc. Not yellow. I prefer long sleeves due to scarring plus I don’t really like sleeveless unless I have a cover up. Not keen on ditsy/ cutesy etc and I don’t want to resemble Little Bo Peep!

Footwear - I have wide feet and I can’t wear heels but may manage lowish chunky heel. Can’t manage stiletto or kitten. I have been thinking about shoe boots or ankle boots. Would prefer to conceal toes but not a deal breaker.

Budget up to £350 for the whole outfit but preferably less.

I would also welcome websites /companies to try. I don’t know many and I am so overwhelmed by John Lewis and the like.

Right, Go! (And thanks. 😁)
