I had a lovely fully acrylic, which I’d normally avoid like the plague, knee length throw on cardigan from New Look sale that has finally bitten the dust after many years faithful service. Just to throw on WFH or over PJs/leggings.

I’d prefer recommendations from personal experiences to tell me about pilling and washability rather than a google trawl. Happy to pay up to £75 ish but I have a cat so reluctant pay more even if it’s lovely due to likelihood of it getting snagged.

The style in after is something like but preferably with pockets although it does have decent reviews.

Not sure about knee length but I have some lovely ones off Amazon (from Grecerelle, I dont know how to link stuff stuff its the £23.99 one without buttons).
They are lovely and cosy, chunky knit so dont really pill, washes well and dries practically instantly!).
Ive actually bought several of them twice when I had to downsize!

Tesco, at the moment, are selling a PJ and ''dressing gown'' set which is the softest knit. They do beige or palest grey/white. The dressing gown is just basically a really long oversized cardi and it's sooooo nice. No belt. No buttons. I think the whole set was under £30 and i'm loving the big cardi.

I wouldn't say it was chunky exactly. A thick fine knit.
