Ladies, I need your help! I'm going to see Mud later this year and anticipate a night of laughs with a load of 60+ folk reliving their teens :)

So I want to dress up! But I also want to spend as little as poss because a 1970s glam rock get up is basically fancy dress and won't get another airing.

All the old pictures of Mud show them wearing matching bright suits but I'm thinking, for me, bell bottoms or even hot pants, preferably sparkly. I've actually got a pair of those iridescent leggings that were around a few years ago, and think I can make some sort of flared gaiter type thing to make them look like bell bottoms. (It was good enough for the guitarist in Mud!) But cheap sequinned bell bottoms or shorts would save me the bother. And what should I wear on my top half? Def not a halter neck! And the big collar shirts of that era wouldn't go with the leggings. When I Google I get a lot of hits that are more flower power than glam rock. I also cannot possibly wear heels/platforms (I wish I could) but I remember wearing "gym shoes" a lot in the 70s so maybe I could get away with Skechers??

Any suggestions? I'm size 12-14, more than happy to get preused clothes, but must be cheap as 1970s chips!

(Yes I know, this is antistyle, not style, but it will be fun!)

Oh, I love glam rock and Mud.

Personally, I’d be going for Marc Bolan glam rock, more versatile. Blouses, fitted jackets, sequins. Mud style I think is too niche to get on a budget.
