Long boots ?

I don’t have any knee length boots and I am thinking of buying black and brown maybe one suede however not sure if they go with long dresses / satin skirts ? I don’t have skinny jeans so wondering if this is excsssive. Would it be too cold to wear them with satin skirts OR like now it’s too warm….

Also not sure if I should go for smaller heeled ones or flat riding / chunky types? Or leather or faux leather, the leather ones obviously more of a staple classic however not sure if worth £200 ish.

Also on the look out for a pair of knee length boots, but I want low or flat heels and laces at the foot/ankle. I plan to wear them with dresses.

I would pay £200+ for leather boots with replaceable heels. Then they could be well-maintained and would be along-term purchase.
