Tights - is there an answer?!!!

I prefer wearing skirts/dresses but omg tight drive me mad.

This morning I tried three pairs before finding okish ones - by this I mean ladder free, don't show random chunks of threading*, fairly decent transparency (20 odd denier). Then of course the ones I wore, the gusset worked it down to my knees on a ten minute walk and I end up hitching them up round my bum.

There must be out there a decent set of tight which are good Sheen/transparency, don't thread* after washing and the gusset doesnt either choke you or fall down!

*pic to show what I mean by threading

I swear by Primark opaque tights. They get chucked in the wash with everything else (no delicate handwashing in my house), tumble dried and last for absolutely ages. The only threading may be if they say catch on a boot zip but I think most would do that anyway. I buy medium and am 5ft5 and a size 12 and no hoiking up required!

I bought sone from M & S last week. I looked at the size chart.12 - 16, 5ft 5 - 6ft came in the large bracket. I'm 14, 5ft 7. Took them out and was dubious, but gave them a try. Pulling them on, the gusset came to mid thigh. Ludicrous. I'm taking them back

I do like snag or popsy for those that come up to your boobs and don't fall diwn.
