Sock It To Me!

I only buy socks from M&S but the quality seems to be worse. Thin and flimsy.

I now need to buy some socks as part of a (requested) birthday present for daughter who is in mid-twenties.

I'm looking for something cotton rich and of good quality. Attractive design but with a bit of sophistication. Not unicorns or cutesy pink hearts. Either online or major high street retailers would do.

Any thoughts?

(I wouldn’t be terribly pleased if I asked for cotton or wool socks and received bamboo.)

The request was for 'some ankle socks'.

Obviously as this is Mumsnet, I must expect to be told by someone that my daughter will - quite reasonably - go no contact with me because of the moral defects, failings and inadequacies of which this purchase is proof.
