Anyone used any teeth whitening products that have made any difference?
I'm horrified at mine in recent photos

I’ve had Enlighten whitening at the dentist, but my husband uses Crest strips and they seem to work just as well.

You need the teeth whitening powder by My Sweet Smile. Brilliant stuff and only £25! I’ve just ordered my second pot.

First thing to do is go to the hygienist for a good clean. One with water jet cleaning and a polish. Whenever I think about whitening I do this and it generally whitens everything enough that I’m happy (not hollywood white of course but pretty good).

I got some moulded trays done at the dentist about 10 years ago, and she gave me some gel to put in them and wear overnight. Massively improved my confidence and now, every couple of years, I just do another night of gel to keep them nice and white. Get a lot of compliments on my teeth, even though they're not straight.

I think it's money well spent. OP, just do it!

Crest whitening strips lightened mine by a couple of shades. I didn't expect much but was impressed.

I have had mine done at the dentist a few years ago but recently tried the colgate max brilliant white and it does work it’s just very hard to tolerate as a toothpaste without gagging. I don’t have bright white teeth thought they are just not as yellow as they used to be

I got some trays from the dentist years ago when they had a Groupon on.

The gel then costs about £170 for two weeks. You keep going until you reach the desired white then just top up maybe a couple of times a month.

My problem is I have ADHD so never see the gel through consistently. I get 3 days in and think it looks better then forget. But I will crack it next time I get the gel.

You also need to quit tea and coffee really - white tea is okay / better.

I used snow whitening I ordered online from the US as British teeth whitener don't contain bleach. It cost about £100 for the kit but it was worth it. I did it about 2 years ago. And have done a couple of top ups since. I took photos to see the difference which I've attached. My teeth were very coffee stained!

seconded! Where are you buying your Crest strips from please, @MissAtomicBomb1 a d @DillDanding?

NippyNinjaCrab · 27/02/2025 20:39

You can get the Crest strips from Home Teeth Whitening website, also The White Smiles and Direct Teeth Whitening. I buy my gel from there, they all have good service and delivery. I'm rubbish at keeping my mould in long enough but the gel definitely works. I use Phillips Zoom as I prefer the consistency, it's not sticky. I've used Polar but used too high a % and burned my gums stupidly. I've been tempted to buy crest strips for ease of use.
