  1. just seen the Victoria Beckham eyeliner ad on my Insta feed - should you apply eyeliner or mascara first or does it not matter
  2. (not related to 1) - are all influencers now routinely using weight loss injections? All my mid size influencers seem to have shrunk!

  1. Try both ways. Whichever works for you.
  2. Probably.

Are you talking about Erica Davies? She has shrunk to half her size other the last months! I can only imagine she must be taking weight loss injections and they seem to have worked very well!

@TheDandyLion - so there’s no right/wrong then? I have always had a slightly chaotic relationship with my make up and do wonder if I am getting it vaguely right! Still, my colleagues and the people on the bus aren’t actually pointing at me and laughing so I guess it can’t be all bad!
@canyon2000 - 2 or 3 of my regular influencers have lost a fair amount. I do wonder how - it does feel like more than cutting out the 4.00 biscuit. One of them has become quite active so I guess that might explain her shift.

  1. I have that eyeliner and it's not with the money IMHO!
  1. Yes! There are a few i follow who have noticeably lost weight bit none admitting to using injections (yet) and a few I suspect will end up using them!!
LAvortonDeLaLitière · 12/09/2024 17:34

@hopeishere ah, I am not planning on buying it, though it does look gorgeous, but I did realise it was being used after mascara which made me wonder if it gives a more professional look.
It would be interesting if one of them broke ranks and admitted it - they look amazing and I can’t deny I’d be tempted but would love an honest, warts and all, account of it. Isn’t it very expensive?

I think it's around £150-£200 per month.

Thanks, and do you have to take it forever or does the weight come back when you stop using it?

I agree with @hopeishere The VB eyeliners go on great, look fab once on, and then are all over your eye area after a few hours.

But, in general, do you do your mascara first or your eyeliner?

I always do eyeliner first. Can't imagine being able to get in the gap properly after.
I have one VB pencil. The lid comes off and the end gets broken. I have sharpened but it won't go nice again. Won't be replacing it, too ££ for the effect.

Saturdayblurs · 12/09/2024 19:09

Eyeliner first, definitely.

LAvortonDeLaLitière · 12/09/2024 21:39

Ah, seems I am not a total make up numpty after all - wish I could get the line closer to the lash line but there we go!

I think Robert Jenrick has admitted to using the injections and he has lost 4 stone. Not these influencers though.

Wow, she seems to be very savvy! She had a puff piece in the Daily Telegraph, complete with click through links and then had any comments doubting her HRT story removed! Influencers are certainly powerful people and live in ivory echo towers.
