In terms of quietness and efficiency? I have an ancient one and I’m tired of feeling like my ear drums are being assaulted whenever I use it. Willing to splurge if it’s good! Is the Dyson one still the ‘good standard’?

There's a new Babyliss one that looks like a Dyson/shark and it apparently very quiet.

I need hairdryer advice too, if it's ok to join you op! Would also like quiet, alongside of not too heavy.

I’m a hairdresser and use this one for work. I absolutely love it. Very light, slim and quieter than other hairdryers I’ve used.

My wife loves her Dyson.... I love it too as it's so quiet.
