Where is the best place to go for a prom dress please? Dd is looking online but I'm wary of sites that I've never heard of. She's been looking at one called Laveliya. Has anyone heard of this or even better ordered from them?
Any recommendations please?
And yes, I know it's early but she's been planning her dress for at least a year!
TIA

Vinted!

Everything I suggest is a no 😩 The one she likes is split up to almost the top of the hip. She's 5ft not a lot. Doesn't want a ball gown type. She'd like the attached but in a claret/burgundy colour.

I bought DDs from TKMaxx

I wouldn't let my dd go to prom in the dress you attached BUT I can see why she wants that as I went to a friends dd's prom last year and there was a lot of thigh high splits going on.

IMO it's too sexy for a 15/16yo but I think a dress both of you agree on will take some time to find a happy medium

Depends on your budget. Vinted has loads of choice and I encouraged DD1 to look there but sadly DD1 (who wears vintage clothing 99% of the time and hasn't worn a dress since she was 9) wanted the experience of going to a proper dress shop so I ended up spending about £400 on her dress. I've told her it has to be worn to all balls at University as well. If you want a proper dress then a lot of bride shops have prom dress sections or there are specialist prom dresses.

Her friends had lovely dresses at all budgets, including one who had a beautiful dress made by her Mum.

Vinted (she had just snagged a gorgeous long dress which is lace over silk over tulle for balls at her uni for just £15) but also JJs, that's where my DD got hers.

You can buy a prom dress online only if you're sure about your size and what goes well for your body type. I would also buy Prom Dresses beacause there's a chance you can save some money that way.
