Burberry

Has anyone any strong opinions on Burberry, and their checks.
They used to be a strong brand. Are they like M&S sometimes upbeat sometimes deadly dull.
Perhaps I don't see them much as I am a bit older. I used to like them, they were fun.

The vast majority of Burberry stuff is understated and has no obvious logo/check. I think it's very wearable and stands the test of time.

Classic trenches are always a good buy too.

All I ever see is Daniella Westbrook/chav relating to Burberry.

The most Burberry checks I've seen is 10-20 years ago on market stalls. I don't know if the brand has reclaimed its higher-end place yet.

Thanks, I take the comments about may not be back in high end class. That was my impression. Prices are still full on though. I did know they were soft pedalling on the check. So much was knock offs though.
May I ask who you think it is equal to?

gorgeous fabrics and understated, classic luxury

I had an advert come up on my Facebook and there were a lot of checks - a full sand check shirt. I'd say those that wore that sort of thing have moved on to stone island now.

They did have some gorgeous boots where the heel was check and I'm in love.
