Stylish leather backpack?

Is there such a thing? I just got rid of an old leather and suede shoulder bag that was falling to pieces and looking for something to replace it as an every day bag. Big enough for brush, purse, pen, the usual bits, noting huge, maybe my lunch and a water bottle but not sure about this as I'll be worried it'll leak!

I saw this on fatface, what do you think? I'm just not used to a handbag as a backpack but fed up of shoulder straps that slip off.

On the other hand, I don't want to look like I'm carrying one of those miniature backpacks that used to be around, somehow they make the person look bigger, and the bag tinier!

Not keen, sorry OP. What about

Fossil
John Lewis
Longchamp
Kapten and Son
Nordace

Some aren't leather though.

Thanks, some of those are a bit more structured than I think I'm after. I like a kind of preppy but traditional look, hopefully quite timeless! Also all a bit more than I was planning to spend!

Not sure about preppy but certainly unstructured, is the All Saints Kita from a few years back. If you were willing to buy lightly used, there are some on eBay. I got one from AS and wear it regularly - it's adaptable and can be worn as a shoulder bag without it looking odd/off. Quality of leather is good and enough room for laptop, shoes, water bottle. There was a regular and mini size.

If you were willing to consider pre-loved, I rate AS bags generally - and they've had a few unstructured backpack styles over the years.

Any other opinions on the bag? I like it but not sure if it's 'me'. Though I'm not sure what bag is 'me' to be honest.

A little bump here. It's good because the straps can be changed so it is crossbody or shoulder bag. It's a beautiful colour, hopefully quite versatile. Something is stopping me. Probably guilt as I have a perfectly good leather shoulder bag of a similar size in dark brown.

Well I like the bag! I am just over 50 though so make of that what you will! I think it would work for me at work or at home which is perfect as you don’t need to change stuff round. I currently have a Fiorelli backpack via Vinted that is a bit too smart to drag around with joggers on. I’d recommend checking the dimensions as some of these babes are huge, designed for laptops not as handbags.
