If you have a tender belly, what bottoms to wear?

I'm pretty sure I'm menopausal and I seem to get some bloating which means jeans are uncomfortable. Just wondering how others manage? Stretchy trousers are great but not exactly glamorous!

I have endo and even being on depo I still get some pretty intense bloating. I'm also covered in some pretty gnarly stretch marks from pregnancy so the skin on my belly is very crepey and delicate

I tend to go for thick leggings and trousers with wide waistbands, a bit of stretch is ideal, doesn't have to be granny style elasticated slacks. High waisted knickers are also a staple. I don't care if they aren't sexy, they are supremely comfortable and far preferable to a sore belly button that's been rubbed raw by a rough waistband

I also wear a lot of dresses and tights, especially a line or empire style, very forgiving on sore bloated bellies and quite flattering, especially with a belt that can be adjusted

Definitely look less pregnant than when spilling over the top of jeans that fit in the morning but an attack of bloat has brought the muffin top out in full force

Funky leggings or top quality high waisted black ones (sweaty Betty from Vinted) that hold in the bloat.

Or harem pants

thick high waisted (over my gut) leggings with a long oversized tshirt, not sure how it looks fashion wise but it’s comfortable xx

Harem trousers. Not sure what I'll wear when it gets colder, though..

Wide legs from M and S.

You could have a look and see if anything from Beyond Nine works for you. (I wish I’d known about them years ago, if they existed then.) If I were you I’d be avoiding any separates that hang from your waist - so I’ve linked

these

but they have lots of soft trousers as well.

Coverall - Midnight Navy

We make feel good clothing for life. Comfortable enough for everything, ready for anything.

High waisted elasticated waist. I have some from M&S which are practically on my bra line. Othe than that I wear tiered dresses as they do stop me from looking bloated.
