What do you wear when you have a round body with added rolls of fat?

Jeans / trousers make me look rounder as I have no waist, empire line often makes me look pregnant, and dresses are hit and miss.

I can't be the only one this shape, but I am finding myself increasingly hard to dress!

Me too. I'm just wondering what warm trousers to buy for winter. I've gone up from a 16 last winter to a 20 now with menopause roundness!

Meno for me too! I’ve never had much of a waist but I now seem to have added roundness. I am also a type 1 diabetic with thyroid issues to make it even trickier.

I'm not your size but I shop at Gudrun Sjoden and the clothes aren't close-fitting they're all wafty and loose so perhaps that's closer to what you're looking for?

I'm not sure there's any way to disguise your shape really. It is what it is. If you have a body that looks like you're pregnant naked I don't see how it's really going to look any different under clothes.

If you've got some clothes that work I'd try to analyse what it is about them that works. Eg I'm hourglass and if I don't want something nipped in at the waist then A-line works because it still shows my basic shape of in-and-out but boxy doesn't because it hangs off my boobs like a tent and makes me look 3x the size I am and then my head looks tiny by comparison. I need bust darts on shirts/blouses/dresses again to give me shape so they don't just hang, even if they're a fluid loose design they hang different with darts. There's bound to be features of your clothes that are what makes it work, then at least you have a starting point of must-haves in terms of design and things to avoid.

Deep V necklines, maxi lengths, amazing jewellery and hair.

These are two of the more contemporary options:

  1. Beyond Nine

  2. Skims

I’ve seen in particular plus size women look fabulous in figure hugging clothes (like Skims) that ‘celebrate’ the bodies beneath rather than apologising or attempting to disguise them.

LaundryB is a company that I keep seeing that stocks some lovely loose items. Worth a look I guess? Also Kit & Kaboodal.

I'm a size 20, menopause 2 years ago, aged 60... I wear high waisted trousers with tunic type top... seasalt and weird fish are my go to.
Not particularly fashionable, but menopause thankfully brought a bout of "who cares" alongside the weight additions round the middle.
