Early 40s, hair is thinning and flyaway. Need a new style. Any ideas?

Just that really :)
I currently have shoulder length hair that I always tie up with a claw clip and have a "quiff" style fringe at the front, which I comb to the side then secure in place with hairspray.
Recently on photos, I've noticed that my hair seems to be thinning, I almost appear to have a bald patch where fringe is combed to the side.
Can anyone suggest any new hairstyles to make my hair appear thicker and to encourage growth? Happy to try almost anything. Thanks x

Worth getting your iron levels checked, mine was thinning and when my iron levels were checked because I was turned away from donating blood they were a little on the low side. I just needed an over the counter iron tablet and now my hair is much thicker.
