Heeeeeeeeeeelp! It’s getting to ‘big coat’ time of the year and I need a new one. Finding one that fits is always a nightmare as I’m very short in the body and I’m pear shaped. Almost every parka style coat I’ve tried on in the past has been fitted at the waist which is useless for me as the waist part is usually hitting round the top of my hips.
I had a brilliant Regatta parka that I had to get rid of last year - it was totally waterproof, covered my bum and was an A-line style so no fitted waist! It was narrow enough in the shoulders and nice and roomy at the bottom to skim over my bum. it wasn’t fancy but it more than did it’s job.
I live in a very cold, wet part of the country and need something totally waterproof, moderately warm (doesn’t need to be thermal as I like to layer and perimeno means I’m always warm anyway!), A-line, preferably a grown-on hood.
Has anyone found such a unicorn? I’m willing to spend up to £300.
