Winter coat

I realise it's a bit mad to type this sitting by a splashpool in 27 degree heat, but there you go...

Can anyone help me find a perfect winter coat? I have a few requirements and have failed to strike gold. I've looked in Hobbs, Reiss, etc so perhaps I need something more outside the box.

• Wool or mostly wool
• not black or navy
• not oversized or belted (straight fit or double breasted is fine, but I like clothes to be fitted around my shoulders).
• patterned or plain is fine
• longer than knee length - calf length is ideal

Budget up to around £400. I'm 5'3 and a size 6-8 depending on the brand (e.g. a 34 in Cos, Arket and Whistles).

Any help most welcome!

Karen Millen has some nice ones, wool blend but this one is 70% wool.

I bought this in the Toast winter sale but it was too small and then sale ended. I bought the size up during the summer after contacting them when it didn’t appear in their summer sale and they still had a few. It’s not as oversized as it looks in picture. I am currently a 12 and I ended up
wi medium. About 250 ( was 500+) great pull on winter coat quite weighty.

Have a look at reiss, I got a lovely camel colour wool coat in there last year.

This belted, but this seems to have a waist and flared skirt rather than the usual straight up and down. They fit well on the shoulders

Holland Cooper long wool coats are gorgeous - may be a budget buster though.

@WonderingWanda Karen Millen actually seems to have some nice options! I think of it as a bit WAG circa 2006 but perhaps I'm out of date there.
