Quickest way to apply foundation

Since COVID I have totally stopped wearing make up unless it's my one day in the office. I now miss wearing some light make up nd want to get back in the habit but feel so lazy. I used to use a foundation brush with a bit of Nars sheer glow. Blusher, eyeliner, mascara that's all. What's bothering me is the foundation. In my head it takes ages.

What's the quickest way to apply some foundation. Swap to tinted moisturizer and use fingers, is compact foundation still a thing... Any tips on a quick make up routine that just makes you feel a bit more ready and nicer would be great. The faster with the most impact the better!

I use my fingers.

I use one of the egg shaped sponge things. Seems quick to me.

I saw a beauty therapist do this once, I adopted it and never looked back. After cleansing and a swipe with glycolic acid, I apply serums, and then moisturiser, and then while my hands still have serum and moisturiser on them I do a pump of foundation onto my palms, smoosh them together as I would the moisturiser, and apply it like moisturiser. Afterwards I wash my hands and then go back with a sponge to check if it needs further blending, but it looks good, just like moisturised skin. The whole thing is done in about 60 seconds. Disclaimer: my look is natural, not "beautician" or "flight attendant".

Just use your fingers or a compact. Why should it take ages? It takes me about 20 seconds. Unless you're following TikTok influencers who do multiple layers and blending with different products, basic foundation really isn't a big deal.

I’ve started using a brush and it’s quicker and less messy than fingers.

I use the Maybelline instant perfector with the sponge on top, swipe on my forehead, cheeks and chin, little bit of the maybelline eraser under the eyes and on the nose, then use the Real Techniques foundation blender to sweep it around, and then a beauty blender to even it out in places, bit of bronzer and blush then done!

I put it on my face with my fingers and blend with a damp beauty blender sponge using a dabbing or patting motion. Takes a couple of minutes at most. I prefer this to brushes

I have the brush from IT cosmetics. Love it in combo with IT cosmetics CC cream. So quick and easy.
