Tall AND fat - need help finding trousers

I’m tall - 5’ 10” with 33” inside leg. Mainly as a result of disability (I’m now a wheelchair user) over the last couple of years my size has increased from a 16–18 to a 22.

Over that same period, the shops that used to be a cert for unremarkable but reliable basic trousers/leggings/jeans, M&S and Next, have stopped stocking long above a size 20.

Please tell me there’s something that I’ve missed and reveal some gems that I can rely on rather than getting excited by an occasional random find

Long Tall Sally are all too long and would need to be taken up.

I share your pain and have mostly given up wearing trousers. However - Sainsburys Tu is my current go to for jeans and I got some linen trousers for summer that are long enough too. Also 5ft10 size 22.

H&M any good? Their trousers are quite long.

Boden go up to size 22 and a longer length as well.

You won't need long in M and S,their regular is long now. Their sizes are all over the place!

I agree with Next tall. M and S regular is also not long enough for me either.

I’m 5’11 with a 33” inside leg too. A lot of shops I can now just buy regular as trousers seem to have gotten longer. M and S and also I got some nice linen rich trousers in Tesco recently that were standard length but perfect for me.

Their long length are just about long enough for me with taller boots. So probably 34 or 35"

Boohoo curve - they’re not advertised as being long leg, but I’m 6ft with a 31” inside leg and the amount of trousers that turn up that either fit me perfectly or are too long do make me wonder how on earth they’re fitting anyone under 6ft lol 😅

Seasalt also make the mistake of thinking that you shrink downwards as you put on weight, but they do make a few items which might do (although showing a lot as out of stock). The black ones of these have a few left:

I tried the regular trousers in M&S today and they just flapped around my ankles.

Have ordered a pair of jeans from Fat Face and will also look at some of the other suggestions for individual items. What I would love is to find somewhere that has a (small) range all of which are available in my size.

Seasalt tall are long, I'm 33 leg and sometimes they are too long, as PP says the large sizes do sell out, probably because nowhere else sells the size. There are some size 22 tall though on the eBay Seasalt outlet, if you put in Seasalt trousers, size 22, size type tall it will filter them for you, it will be clear which one are the outlet and returns are generally free, they are generally cheaper than the normal website, I buy from the outlet shop a lot.

Landsend online could be worth looking at.

I find Fatface is good for jeans and cords, I like the Elise style
