Eye lash extensions

Had them done a week ago. Look lovely but don't want to continue with them. Should I wait for them to fall out or will they take all my eye lashes with them?! Didn't really want to pay or use time to have them removed but will if no other option

You should be able to dissolve the extension glue with either oily eye make up remover or baby oil, but whatever you do, don't pick or pull them off or you'll damage your own lashes.

You can get glue remover off amazon but be warned it stings like hell if you get it in your eyes. It takes them off in about 15 mins.

@rosyvalentine any recommendations? How long does it take?
@addictedtotheflats don't think I dare!

They will fall out gradually as your natural lashes turn over. So when a natural lash falls out, the extension will go with it. So for a while you’ll have some long lashes and some normal until all your lashes have gradually fallen and replaced themselves.

You could ask the place where you had them done if they would remove with proper remover? Or you can buy whatever they tell you to get and do it yourself. I’ve removed my own and managed not to get it in my eye. Just do one eye at a time and go slowly!

@pinkyponkyplink I can’t remember, sorry, but it will have been what the lash technician told me to get!

Any eye make up remover containing oil should work - Simple or Clinique Take the Day Off are two that come to mind. Soak a cotton pad with the remover and hold it on the eye to dissolve the glue. It might take longer than using the proper remover but will be more gentle.
