One luxury lipstick or five high street ones?

Whatever your choice is - please leave the brand / line name recommendations… 💄

Five high street ones. I have tried some more expensive lipsticks and while some have been good I haven't found them so much better than it justifies the price difference. Max factor lipsticks are my favourite....I find the pigment strong and they are not drying.

I am interested in this too. I'd have though the price of five cheaper lipsticks will come to the same cost as one high end one but it depends on if you want just one colour or several. I use on shade so high end works out cheaper for me but five of them would be more costly,

Five high street ones because if you go wrong with the luxury you’d be bemoaning it for YEARS😅😅😅 Saying that I really want to try all the ones people are always talking about- the pillow talks, Ruby woos etc!!!

Chillimuma · 28/08/2024 21:29

I’m all about 1 luxury one but I used to work in fashion and beauty and have tried A LOT!

always rate Tom Ford, Chanel or Charlotte tilbury. Gucci ones good too

RosesAndHellebores · 28/08/2024 21:40

I like: Estee, Lancome, Clinique, Clarins .......and L'Oréal. Other cheap ones make my lips sore.

I would love to try Charlotte Tilbury's Pillowtalk but it's Matt and I don't like matt lipsticks.

I may have enough lipstick to last until I'm 93

I love lipsticks but as I got older, a lot of them age me or wash me out. Brights work better than nudes now. Going lipstick shopping to Selfridges on Saturday and thinking of treating myself to one per month, to sort of build lipstick wardrobe.

The most I've spent on a lipstick is a estee lauder one, yes it was ok but no better then my revlon or max factor ones.
