Hoff trainer sizing?

Just looking at Hoff trainers following a suggestion on another thread, and I love the look of them! Just wondering about sizing - I've got really small feet and would say I'm a 35.5EU which seems to translate as a 2.5/3. The only sizes they have are a 35EU or a 36EU, so I'm wondering whether to size up or down (or not bother at all if they are completely true to size as one will be too big and the other too small!). Would appreciate advice from anyone who has a pair already please!

Hopeful bump in case this got lost…

I would size up. I wear a 38 or 39 and needed a 39 in my Hoffs.

I bought them in my size 7 and they're fine but a larger size would probably fit too as they're not oversized as it were like some of my other trainers that come up a bit bigger

Stirmish · 29/08/2024 09:19

In your case OP definitely go for the larger 36

That’s awesome, thank you! Shoe sizing seems to be all over the place these days and I am fed up of having to order at least two different sizes (very few decent real shops near me, hence having to do it all online)

I find them neat and I’d be careful about their conversion sizes. I bought what they label as 7 but it was only a 40 rather than the more usual 41. I’d say the sizing was more in line with 6.5. They are nice shoes though once I got the size right.

I couldn't get the sizing right. I'm a usually a 5.5. I tried and 5 and a 6 which were both tight but a 7 was way too big.

Stirmish · 29/08/2024 15:45

Size 7 is always a 40

Ah well, I have many pairs labelled 7/41 - wearing one of them right this minute. I think the issue is that there isn’t a straight conversion on bigger sizes, it starts to become confused after about a size 6UK.

Stirmish · 30/08/2024 22:32

That's strange my size 7 have always been 40 even shoes from Europe

Weird

Stirmish · 30/08/2024 22:34

UK 7.5 is 41 so I guess they just round down

clopper · 30/08/2024 22:36

I found them on the smaller side and quite narrow, but I do have wide feet.

Stirmish · 21/03/2025 02:01

My size 7 have always been a 40 too

I wear 3.5 (clarks) or 36.5 (adidas sizing) and I have 36 Hoff shoes, they are perfect.
