New wardrobe

I'm mid thirties and have a one year old baby. My body has changed since pregnancy and none of my clothes fit me. I've lived in comfies for the last year but now am back at work so need a new smart-casual wardrobe. Tbh it needed an update anyway as all my clothes are old and tatty.

Where do I start?! I don't have a massive budget.

I am a size 10-12, 5'4, auburn hair. I don't really know what I like, except stripes, dark green, navy, and jeans.

Thank you

I feel you! I have a one year old baby and lived in leggings throughout pregnancy and maternity leave. Before that I lived in skinny jeans and Breton tops, which feels so dated now.

I have recently got a few pairs of wide leg trousers and jeans, which feel much more current. I got some wide leg linen trousers from H&M and jeans from Mango. H&M had some lovely shades of olive and navy linen this year (if they’re sold out, there’ll be loads on Vinted). I’ve been wearing these with slim fit t shirts to balance out the wider leg.

COS do some really nice quality t shirts, including stripes in different colourways.

What sort of thing is acceptable to wear at your workplace, is it a jeans and t shirt sort of place or more like smart trousers/top?
