Please help me find a walking gilet that I can wash and don't need to tumble dry to bumfle back up.

The last gilet I invested in seemed fab, I washed it and the filling bunched up at the back. I dont have a tumble drier and no amount of shaking dispersed the filling. I need a knee or calf length gilet that will keep me warm but not make me sweaty, I need to be able to wash it without ruining the filling.
Please help xx

How often are you expecting to need to wash it?

I wash my insulated items only to keep the waterproofing topped up once a year or so. I have never washed my down coat, only spot cleaned and regularly aired.

You shouldn't need to wash insulated items in a machine unless something disastrous has occurred (submerged in mud, vomit etc)

If an item is machine washable it will say on the label & give you instructions. But largely they are not designed to be washed with any sort of regularity and need to be treated very gently.

Unfortunately I have a very mucky life 😂 I wash and reproof the rest of my coats and jackets no problem but the gilet I bought just didn't cut it. I should have probably spent more on it. I'll keep looking and see what recommendations I get.
