Skincare routine for grumpy skin

My skin has got the hump. It’s dry/sensitive/acne prone and suddenly seems to hate all of the products I’ve been using for years. Thanks very much perimenopause. Can anyone recommend a basic cleanser, toner & moisturiser that won’t break the bank, irritate my already upset skin or bring me out in spots? I’ve previously been a Liz Earle fan but that seems to be causing my skin to sting like mad at the moment. Cerave likewise. At this stage I just want basic products that do the job so not worried about bells & whistles anti-ageing ingredients.

I would make sure it is fragrance free. Often it's the fragrance that causes these problems. I have super sensitive skin and I find Cetaphil cleanser and moisturizer non-irritating.
Forget the toners, because they contain alcohol, which is highly irritating. Plus they aren't even necessary. It's just nonsense the beauty industry has put out to sell more product. Just rinse your face really well to remove any excess cleanser instead, because if any residue stays on your skin that can cause irritation. I rinse no less than twenty times.

I have started putting a very thin layer of vaseline on my face overnight and using a hot cloth to remove it in the morning. My skin's a lot less dry if I do this. And no spots either. I have sensitive skin as well so have had to be careful with products in the past.

Oat Milk Cleanser from Inky List is always the one I use if I've upset my skin.

La Roche Posay moisturiser and a layer of vaseline is what I do when I'm trying to repair.
