My old one had metal on it to help conduct the heat whilst blow drying & ideally I would like something similar. My hair is fine & medium length. I’d like decent quality but don’t want to spend a fortune.

There's an article on styling brushes in today's Guardian, Lifestyle pages.

I’ve got a GHD one -ceramic round brush. Had it a few years and still going strong. It feels comfortable (I’ve had cheaper ones but didn’t like the handles). My hair is fine and medium length like yours.

I have the Amika Blowout Babe one. It doesn’t dry hair, I usually air dry and use this to get a sleek and bouncy finish.

The Moroccan Oil one is great.
It really grips your hair, conducts heat, comes in various sizes and has a sectioning tip tucked into the handle and has a rubberised handle that is easy to hold, not slippy.
