I only ever wear 3 colours

At the same time or at all?

In your whole outfit? Does that include shoes? What about a jacket you'll take off inside?

Or do you just mean - of your top and trousers/skirt, no more than three colours?

Invest in decent leather belts in varying colours/styles. It totally lifts an outfit, the belts that usually come with a dress etc are usually awful and look cheap

At the same time

So for example today i wore faded blue "mom" jeans , a white cropped t shirt and gold coloured strappy Havainas

I also carried a small black leather bag (saint Laurent small Lou Lou) but I feel like that doesn't count as a colour 😁

I'm not sure if shoes actually count but I do count them . But not my bags

Does it work if you wear a neon yellow tank top, beige chinos and a red belt? And a navy bag (if we're allowed a fourth colour for a bag). Doubt it?

I like the idea but obviously it has to be the right three colours together in a style that works....

My styling hack is to wear the same dozen outfits on rotation! Not really a hack is it... I need some hacks!

I want a tan one. Where do you buy? Saw a lovely one in Reiss but silly expensive for a belt imo.

@mikado1 I actually got a really nice tan woven one amd a plain cream one in M&S! Can’t remember the prices as I bought them together but one was £15 and the other £20

Not really a hack but I stick with rhe rule of not going baggy on top and bottoms...at least one half has to be well fitting.
I think only teenagers can pull off that all baggy, shlumpy look.

Always start building your outfit from your shoes up.

I follow the 2 or max 3 colour rule too.
I follow Kibbe Soft Dramatic rules.
I aim for same coloured top and bottom to emphasise length.
Never wear more than 1 looser item - so if my top is looser I will wear skinny bottom and vice versa.
Only wear a pointed toe shoe or boot to elongate the leg.

Getting my colors done, so I know what colors suit me, really helped me.
