Knee high boots, wide in the foot but not gapey in the calf...

Do they exist? I want something decent quality and not frumpy....

Look at a company called Duo. I've had several pairs of boots from.there. You buy your shoe size and then they make them.to your calf width. I've got big feet (8) but slim calves and Duo boots are a fantastic fit. Not cheap but they are really well made. I've got pairs that are over 10 years old and still as good as new

I have wide feet and average sized calves, and find that flat, round toed Spanish riding boots fit really well.

@EmmaGrundyForPM how is the boot width fitting on the actual feet? I have done the calculator on the Duo website but there was no option for me to specify a wide fitting shoe size - it was just size 4,5,6 etc no 4w, 5w, 6w etc. The width measurement for calves looks great but it's a lot of money if the books are just standard width around the toes.

For ankle boots I like Gabor and solovair but the Gabor knee highs with a foot fitting seem also very wide on the calf and Solovair don't do knee highs.

Most Spanish boots are made by the same factory in Spain, then badged ( and marked up!) by brands. Try the Spanish Boot Company, Really Wild Clothing Company, House of Bruar and Fairfax and Favor. I'm a cheapskate, so I usually buy those brands on Vinted or ebay

They do a wide fit and extra wide. I buy mine in the sale where they drop to about £40. They never leave my feet in the winters. I was previously an ankle boot girl but I can wear these with anything
