Fjords cruise, packing help needed!

Hiya,
Would really appreciate some assistance please..

I am going on a fjords cruise for a week in 7 days and am starting to think stress about packing..

It's a toughie as the weather is so variable there. I am at a bit of a loss for daytime wear.

For reference I am 55, 5'10, size 18/20. Awful legs so they need covering.

Any recommendations please of nice put together casual daytime outfits suitable for tall and plus? Links would be fab.

Any evening wear suggestions also really welcome.

Thanks so, so much x

I live in a place where the tourists come off the fjord cruises all the time. They are all in fleeces, waterproofs, jeans and trainers. Wearing woolly jumpers and sometimes also hats and gloves. On the rare day this summer that it is warm, then it is shorts, t-shirt and trainers. But the forecast isn't particularly good for the next couple of weeks, so I wouldn't take a lot of hot weather stuff. I don't think a fjord cruise is the trip for stylish outfits. It is a trip for warm and sensible clothing.

Hi OP, I'm also going to the Norwegian Fjords next week - eek, can't wait!

I'm bringing a light rain jacket and comfy trainers, light jumpers and cover ups for the day excursions, and a few nicer tops and trousers to wear for the evening time.

I'm not really a black tie evening gown sort of person so will be avoiding that if I can. I'm aiming for comfortable and layers rather than super stylish - although I'm definitely getting in the pool for a swim even if it's freezing out!

Hope you have a fab time.

We did the fjords in April and we packed for COLD weather.. and it really wasn't! during the day we simply wore jeans, long sleeved tops and fleeces/hoodies. Just normal footwear.. trainers or boots.

We did have all the cold weather kit with us, but we really didn't need it!

For evenings, i took one posh frock for formal night, and the rest of time, just nice dresses, think night out..

We are going back in March next year, and travelling further north to see the northern lights and intend to pack the same.
