Help me out.
What's 'in' with trouser styles now?
I want to look up to date but not bang on trend as I can't afford to keep updating my clothes to keep up with 'fashion'. Rather buy quality.
I'm 50 (but told I look a bit younger) and a slim size 10 but with a flat bum.
I have a very casual lifestyle (WFH) but sometimes need to be smarter casual for eating out in London (but still low-key dressing.)
My total trouser collection at the moment is-
a pair of dark skinnies (more tapered/straight than super skinny)
a pair of lighter wash girlfriend jeans with a rolled up hem
a smart pair of cigarette trousers from Jigsaw (black)
a pair of velvet jeans - straight/ skinny
a pair of Boden smart ponte trousers in navy - ankle grazers- more the the summer.
What styles should I be looking for now?
Flared or wide leg jeans (tricky as I'm 5 2")
Straight leg jeans?
Anything other than jeans? Maybe cords?
Or dresses and skirts/ jumpers? (But I can't stand getting cold!)
My winter coats fairly fitted and knee length - are a charcoal wool knee length one, a dark grey reefer jacket, a posh grey herringbone wool (Jigsaw) and a couple of Uniqlo down coats.
