6 weeks til photoshoot

I'm having some photos taken to promote my business.

I don't like having my photograph taken at the best of times but at the moment I feel even worse.

I'm overweight (size 18), but can't solve that in 6 weeks. What can I do (apart from photoshop) to make me look better.

I have bags/dark circles under my eyes and just look quite tired and puffy.

My skin is ok but not brilliant (I'm 50).

I've made an appointment to get my nails and eyebrows done.

What else 🤷🏻‍♀️

is your business related to the beauty industry?

pintofsnakebite · 22/08/2024 17:57

No.

They are just photos of me and I want to be pleased with them.

Could you get a blow dry and your make up done on the morning of the shoot? I always think I look better if I feel good, have you sorted a killer outfit?

Luxros eyelash serum is really good. It only takes about 3 weeks to notice quite a difference.
Ideally do get your hair and makeup done just before the shoot, if you are not confident doing it. I'm awful at both personally!
Have a couple of looks, maybe a couple of different tops or jewelry. Set out your options and try them on and ask opinions about them so you're decided about the exact wardrobe you'll use. And enjoy it!
Have a glass of champagne and relax.
The best photos for a business always make the person look quite natural and approachable, so not very posed. Showing a little of their character. It's not a beauty business so people will not be focussing strongly on your actual makeup and hair, so it can be pretty subtle.

If you decide to get your make up done I would definitely have a trial run first to make sure you are happy with it (and get someone to take a couple of snaps for you so can get an idea what it will look like in photos too.)
Keep clothes and colours quite simple - nothing too frilly !
