Hi - help! I've not worn makeup for ages, I'm menopausal so always fear or sweating and makeup falling off, so just plain but feeling like shit! Please recommend me something! I've quite a red face, light skin, blonde and as mentioned sweaty horrible periods in the day - bloody menopause 😢

What don't you pop in to boots or somewhere where they have a make up counter? The women there are professionals, they will help you find good make up.

I use urban decay all nighter setting spray or the Charlotte tilbury one (that's a bit glowy though)

game changing!

Professional salespeople. Very variable makeup skills.

Have a look at https://www.tiktok.com/@thevalgarlandd*?t=8p6oXZPYhKy&&_r=1

You might not want her exact look, but she's very good on skills.

Thanks everyone! Was put off by Boots as I bought a very expensive foundation a few years ago and it made me look orange 🙁

I'd find a good light concealer first and just use that as needed, rather than a full coverage foundation all over. You might want to combine that with a CC cream; IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream is recommended a lot. Or Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue: britishbeautyblogger.com/makeup/bareminerals-complexion-rescue-concealer-review/

Consider adding some TanLuxe THE FACE ILLUMINATING SELF-TANNING DROPS to your moisturiser. You can use as little as you want for just a little colour.

My skin is much oilier than it used to be, I use concealer with powder foundation and a setting blotting powder on top. I've never liked a lot of foundation on but the cystic acne that has developed needs to be covered.

It's now more of a glowy, dewy look with all that on rather than full on greasy shine.

Think this is really helpful too, OP:

IT Cosmetics foundation does not budge, nor does Estée Lauder Doublewear.
