Which leopard print skirt for A/W?

I’m on the hunt for a leopard print skirt - I know, it’s a divisive print but I’m of the ‘leopard is a neutral’ mindset!
I can’t decide between midi/maxi - I want one that I can wear with sandals over the next few weeks (fingers 🤞🏻) which will still work with boots/trainers!
I tried this one but something about it just didn’t feel right, not sure if it was the elasticated waistband!
Any thoughts would be much appreciated!

I think that skirt is lovely, but I know what you mean. I wore a similar one last a/w and it felt so frumpy (I know that description isn’t popular here, but that’s exactly what it felt like) and unflattering. I too think it’s the elasticated waist.

Looking forward to replies!

I think that silhouette doesn't work with that pattern. The skirt (and elasticated waist) would actually be great in plain black.

I think animal print works better as a midi, in silky material and straight cut.

I've just got one from m and s very similar which I have bought recently. It has a shirred waist which gives a bit more shape.

Sandwichgen · 22/08/2024 09:44

I think that skirt doesn't quite work because the 'slip' shape demands a satin-y fabric.

I have this skirt and it is so nice!

Yes! It’s the shape and the material and waistband combined - I completely agree that in a plain colour it would be a great skirt.
I like the Zara one - I don’t always get on with Zara sizing however, I’m completely in between sizes in everything Zara for some reason so I would have to get it tailored!

Interesting...I have a leopard print slip skirt from New Look I bought this year that is very similar. (but slightly better if Im honest!, sry).
Mine is lighter looking, the print is smaller and the waist is thinner which I think is better for slip skirts.
Ive been wearing it to death this summer with a fitted graphic tee and hi tops and Im imaging it will get out in winter with knee boots and a cosy jumper!

I think the muted leopard or much nicer tbh . That doesn't look very AW

Yeah it is rather large in print!

There is a great one in Primark at the moment, £14. It has a smaller print, and is a slim cut. I have extreme buyer's regret this morning that I didn't get it.

Kipperthedawg · 22/08/2024 12:57

I'm looking for one on silver/blue/purple as I do not suit browns at all.

Hecatoncheires · 22/08/2024 13:14

I like that first skirt! Sorry to be a thickie, but what does "A/W" mean?

The Realisation Par Naomi wild things skirt is nice with boots and tights and also good for spring summer but expensive uk.realisationpar.com/the-naomi-wild-things/

And I'd look at Ganni - lots come up on Google. The brand is often cheaper at The Outnet but also not cheap

TheHighPriestess1 · 22/08/2024 13:48

There’s loads on Vinted! Get them cheap before the trend begins to go crazy and prices do

Hecatoncheires · 22/08/2024 13:52

@Whatineed Doh! Of course. Thank you! 😃

I love a bit of leopard print these days. The New Look one looks lovely and could be paired with anything - it's so versatile.

I got some lovely leopard print wide leg comfy trousers from river island last year and just LOVE them for summer. Also got a leopard print top...feel I need a skirt now to complete my collection!

Rina66 · 22/08/2024 19:53

I love this Anthropologie one, just not sure about spending £138 on leopard print, although everything I've ever bought from Anthropologie does come out year after year. The reviews are good and the customer pictures really help, I do like seeing how 'normal' people wear the clothes.
