Just as the title states please.

My face is in desperate need! This ever changing weather and the upcoming winter makes my skin very dry.

Thank you!

I thought they are not as good for skin as they used to be considered to be. Read it somewhere ages ago so I stopped steaming when doing a weekly face mask. But that was the diy version, towel over head over bowl with steaming water infused with various plants.
It may well be that I am completely wrong.
I did see a Sarah Chapman steamer gadget. She is a facialist and I do rate her skincare and face masks products. I'd imagine a steamer from this brand would be safe to use. Have a look on Vinted for lower prices. No idea how you'd use it because it doesn't look a traditional face steam machine.
Have you tried gentle acid peels? They are great at clearing skin.

Sorry, just understood your problem is dry, not congested, skin.
In that case, maybe hydrating face sprays might be beneficial. Applied through the day.
I didn't know facial steamers hydrate dry skin. I thought they only helped with deep pore cleansing.

I have one from amazon I use now and again just as it feels nice but it's not great for dry skin. I would get the rice toner and a rich moisturer like La Roche Posay or I use tallow (I know this isn't for everyone). Also a layer of vaseline is great for keeping moisture in before bed
