Cropped quilted jacket

I saw a girl wearing a gorgeous pink, floral, quilted, cropped jacket while out in London yesterday and I can't seem to find anything similar online. Anyone fancy being detective and seeing if you can find me something similar online based on the above description?! Thanks

I think the recent trend of “upcycling” handmade quilts into fashion was started by Ralph Lauren and has filtered down to the high street.
They’re usually simple cropped Mandarin jacket style but some can be full sleeping bag dressing gown style.

They’re very controversial in the quilting world as you may be unwittingly cutting into a piece of folk history even if it has ended up, unwanted and unloved, in a charity shop. But there’s a craze for sewing blouses out of your granny’s embroidered tablecloth or “prairie’ dresses from old duvet covers.

Personally I HAVE used an XL zipped hoodie as the lining for a patchwork jacket, using a quilt top that I enjoyed making but had no use for so it was just sitting in my stash. I followed a YouTube video by Edyta Sitar (spelling?) a fabric and quilt designer. I got a few odd looks 2 years ago but now fashion has caught up with me…!

Anyway, I know Walmart was selling printed versions of quilt jackets 2 years ago, so they shouldn’t be hard to find. Or try ETSY.

There’s loads of these around at the mo. If you search ‘quilted jacket’ you should find plenty of options.

Thanks for the suggestions! I want something more tailored and definitely cropped. The one I saw was a deep pink, it was beautiful. I wish I asked the girl where she got it from!

Monsoon have some nice ones, its where I got mine from (via Vinted!).

I went into Tkmaxx yesterday and they had loads! Lots of different lengths and colours.
I definitely remember seeing the one I've screen shot below.

I bought this from Amazon a couple of weeks ago (I know! 😬 but I have a chazza shop 1970s one that I have worn to death over the last 15 years and this Amazon one was the closest I could find). It’s reversible so the other side is dark and light blue fabrics. I’m tempted to buy another variant from the same listing…
